24 pin spark an dead

Hey guys I was wondering when I had a spark I knew something was dead and all I want to know is, did the motherboard die or the PSU die because I did the bobby pin trick to see if it still worked and the PSU turned on and all that but I can't tell if it was the PSU that died or the MOBO from that point

Plenty of guides on the net on how to test your PSU since you already know how to turn it on.

If the 24-pin connector sparked, check it on the board and the PSU's plug to see if there is any obvious burn marks or pin missing.
