Hello all ,

I'm looking to update my old NEC 21" CRT to a new 24" LCD. I'm currently buying part for a new build and be running a EGVA 260 ( possible SLI down the road). I know thw 245BW is being phased out , but alot of friends tell me it is still a nice monitor. My question is it really worth the $100 more to buy one of the other monitors . My build will be mainly for gaming.

Thanks for any input .

Looking at the Samsung 245BW

or Samsung 2493HM

Samsung T240

or LG W2452T

if I will have to select one of the above then I would go for the T240 or the 2493.

the T240 by the way , if its not the HD version , it wont support 1920X1080 resolution, which the 2493HM will support this high resolution.

if I can get out of the box and select some another monitor then it would be the Dell 2408WFP A01 rev.
maybe its response time is 5ms and not 2ms but just go and take a look at its perfect picture .
It gives you one great quality of color and it has a lot of inputs .
but dont forget its more expensive due to its panel.. its S-pva and not TN.
just go to a store and see the monitor for yourself , ask the salesman to run some pictures movies and games and see for your self..
I thinks its great.

Noam.

I know this is an older thread but something is really annoying. The only difference between the t240 and the t240hd is the hd has a tv tuner in it. If you have a 1920x1200 it is a higher resolution than 1080p. you will have no problem getting full hd out of this monitor. I still suggest looking at each monitor if you have a chance.
