I'm considering getting a 360mm Kraken Elite ( upgrade from a 240mm) due to the newer model having a nice screen, better cable management and better cooling.

Ideally mount to the top of the case with the pipes on the left ( so they don't obstruct my side case fans ) and then remove the rear exhaust fan so that the pipes don't hit it.

Would that work ?

what cpu?
you could push pull a 360 mounted on the side and 2 140mm exhaust at the top !! you could even remove the 3 at the bottom and put 2 up top ..

with so much space in that case you cant be getting high temps at all !!

Ryzen 5 3600.

Putting the rad on side is not an option due to cable management. The AIO has to fit at the top ideally.
Only slight concern with putting the pipes on the left is that they may touch the GPU slightly.

If the tubes are touching the GPU's backplate it wont be a problem, since the tubes can handle the heat on the back plate.
And in your case, with your airflow config, I highly doubt your GPU will see more than 70-75C in any game you play, so its perfectly safe.
If it aesthetically bothers you, you can just zip tie the tubes to your 24-pin connector. Smth like this guy did:

With a 3600 your going to get diminishing returns with anything over a 280mm or a decent air cooler at best
I recommend a 280mm then in the top or a decent air cooler a deep cool AK500 digital is a great cooler with a temp read out and a little bit of RGB ..

That said a 240mm is more than enough to cool a 3600x ..
Now if you were looking at a 5800x3d then i would go a min of a 280mm

still think you could remove most of them fans and your system would be much quieter and still be cool ..
more fans more noise !!

Thanks for the information guys
I like to future-proof. So later down the line I will most likely upgrade the 3600 when the time comes.

I'm all about balance, so as I have three fans bottom, I would like three fans top.
