2400 - 2800 mhz DDR3 improves gaming performance?

Hi,

If I swap my 1600 mhz 8gb ram by a 2400 or 2800 mhz dimm will improve my gaming performace, say FPS ? or just overall system performance like copying / compressing files, installing stuffs etc??

You may see a very minor FPS difference, and almost no difference if any with general performance.

1600MHz is currently the sweet spot for RAM, unless you are worried about synthetic benchmarks. Generally it is not worth the cost to upgrade.
