I am looking to upgrade my current PC build which is:
GTX 1070
Asrock extreme3gen3 mobo
I5 2500k
500gb ssd
1tb hdd
8gb gskill ares ram
650w psu.
Im going to keep the 1070 and possibly SLI with another one. Im definitely looking to upgrade the rest of the build minus the ssd and hdd. My budget is around 1800-2000 USD. I have 2 1080p monitors right now so i would probably buy a 1440p or 4k for the right value. Please help suggest a build for gaming. Thanks guys!

I'd be selling your 1070 & just going 1080ti off the bat.
Option there to sli the 1080ti in the future.

Check on ebay for used 1070 prices, then take some money off if you do not have good seller history. Or find a friend who wants to buy the card.

This is a gaming PC, check frame rates of the games you play at 4K resolution on 1080ti vs 1070 sli. Likely the 1080 wins, but you only care about the games you play.

That's a pretty good system. I'd be tempted to hang in there until Nov and hit a black friday combo deal for MB, proc, memory rather than upgrading now. If you are not currently OC'ing the 2500K now is the time to push it.

I sold my 1070 and bought an ASUS 1080ti strix. Now I just need help with the rest of the build. Is ryzen really the best option for gaming or should I go with Intel? I also have a CRYORIG H7 that I'd like to reuse if possible.

I'm about to order my 7700k. I was looking at an ASUS Prime Mobo, also I already have an SSD and an HDD as well as a case and a CPU Cooler(Cryorig H7). I may buy a new monitor in the future but for now I need mainly Mobo and PSU suggestions. My current PSU is a 650w but I forgot the brand and it's not modular.

I would get this:

Motherboard: Asus Z270 Strix (bit more than Prime but worth it) https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132930

Or: Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 5:https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128965

CPU Cooler: Cryorig H5 (better than H7) https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4UF30R0134

Or: Phanteks TC-12: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835709020

PSU: Seasonic Prime X750: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151159

Or EVGA G3: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAAY95J93683

When I say I have the SSD, HDD, and CPU cooler, I mean i bought them awhile ago for my previous pc so there's not really any need for these. I don't really need a better cooler at the moment because I don't plan on going crazy with overclocking. Thanks for the suggestions man!

What is the make and model of the parts you have? Like case? CPU fan? SSD? Some parts, like motherboard, you can't suggest without knowing what case you have due to size limitations, etc.
