[SOLVED] 2400 mhz ram on 9th gen system

Would there be a performance penalty if i use my old ddr4 2x8gb 2400mhz rams when i would upgrade to a b360 9th gen mobo + i5-9400f instead of buying a new 2666 mhz kit?

No, not really. Not enough to matter. Intel still does well with lower speed DDR4.

Depends on the game, in some games it would hardly make a difference at all and in others there would be a noticeable difference. If you aren't sacrificing anything else then I would say buy the 2666 MHz kit, you can sell the other one.
