Hi, when I built my PC I bought 2400 mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM and put it in my list (on PC Partpicker) and it said that it was compatible with my motherboard (Z97 PC Mate) and my CPU (an i7-4790k). I thought that my ram was working at full speed until I checked CPU-Z. According to the application my RAM is only going at 1200mhz which is barely half the speed. I looked at the CPU and Motherboard specs again and it said that that it should get to over 1600 without OC, and you can only get the full 2400 mhz with OC. I have never overclocked before, so does anyone know which is the easiest way to OC RAM?

It's DDR ram so you multiply it by 2 = you are running at 2400 , your all set.

You can set the XMP profile under DRAM settings in the BIOS, set it to XMP profile 1.
