Good day, I have a couple of 8 GB 2400 mhz ddr4 generic green pcb rams from my current rig my question is can i still use these on an i5-9400F + B360M build? or should i buy a new 2666 mhz ddr4 branded rams? would there be issues if i use the old ones?if so would it damage the board? Thank you.

Solution
You can use them. B-series motherboards support up to 2666MHz, meaning you can run RAM anywhere between the 2133MHz low and the 2666MHz high. Are they the same specs? You would have a difficult time running different sticks with different timings. But if they are the same and especially if they came in a pair together they should work fine.
its a crucial 2x8 gb ram 2400 mhz. this is its specs. is this kind of ram fine? or should i buy those g-skillz rams with rgb lights and heat spreaders?
