Question 2400G gaming performance

Games aren't running well on my dad's 2400g. I read that it could be because of our pirated copy of windows and we fixed that it just needs to finish updating atm. We never got a game open because they were so laggy. Also read that we may need dual channel ram. Please help. We will try to run a game as a test again in a couple hours after the update is done on the true copy of windows.

And you're right about the 1 RAM stick. It cuts off 50% of your memory bandwidth by just having 1 stick running in Single Channel instead of 2 sticks running in Dual Channel. In some games the difference can go up to 30% FPS. Some other games just a few fps.

You have to click on the +Windows 10 - 64-bit Edition text to open the download section.

Pirated?

Quick way to get any discussion shutdown, and, a rather dubious decision in light of anyone being able to download/install WIndows but just not activated...

My dad insists it wasn't pirated. He tried explaining why and said something about how you can download windows for free and that it was an update from 7 but I didn't get it. But now we have a legit copy of windows with a legit CD key.
