hi, i have an amd asus 970 aura mobo, asus GeForce GTX 1050ti graphics card, amd 8350 FX 4ghz processor and corsair 2400mhz (16gigs) ram.
i recently upgraded my ram to the 2400mhz, but i keep seeing it showing up as 1333mhz. if i am able to boot i get instability issues right away.
can anyone help please?

Solution
Those AMD FX chips do not like going above 1866. Even that can be a problem. Usually I just set it to 1600 and leave it alone to avoid crashes.
you may or may not be able to OC your CPUs memory controller that far, you may have to drop to 2133mhz which is all your motherboard technically accepts. Try this first. Enter you timings and voltage in bios manually according to you ram's settings. If that does not work try dropping speed down to 2133mhz....you should also be able to drop the T (cmd rate) from 2 to 1 at similar timings to slightly lower timings then you ram is rated for at 2400mhz. LMK if that works also what is the exact make and model of your ram?
