[SOLVED] 2400mhz or 3600mhz DDR4

Hello everyone!

Hope you all are doing well and in good health.

I recently have:

CORSAIR Vengeance 4 sticks 32GB (4*8) DDR4 2400mhz CL 14-16-16-31 v1.20

I want to have faster one with good price so I found this:

OLOy 2 sticks 32GB (2*16) DDR4 3600mhz CL 18-22-22-42 V 1.35

The other specs of my PC:
CPU I5 6600k
MB Asus Z170-a
GTX Asus Strix 980ti


So what do you think? Can that RAM be better and make any ups?

I honestly think that you will not be able to tell the difference other than in benchmarks unless you only do very memory intensive work, and then you will see a few percent gain at most.

Can the OP even OC the RAM to 3600MHz with a 6600K and the board he has? Probably more like 3000MHz if lucky and the difference will be this below.

I have read somewhere that less no. of sticks is better when it comes to speed so I thought an increase by 1200mhz along with using 2 sticks would make noticeable change.. like faster response faster boot and also an increase in FPS while gaming.

I mainly use it for games

I believe it can, it is mentioned in MB manual that it can OC to around 3466, so yes. I have also OCed the CPU to 4.5ghz and its going well and smooth
