2400mhz ram on 2133mhz supported CPU? Will it work

Hi,
I have a i3 6100 3.7ghz CPU which only supports up to 2133mhz Ram.But in my area it’s hard to find these base ddr4 model since everyone’s going for high speeds.so and my cpu is not overclocable.my only choice is to get a 2400mhz ram. WILL IT WORK.

As long as it's correct ddr, in this case ddr4 I believe, it should work just not on it's declared 2400 mhz but on your cpu/mobo max available 2133 mhz.
