[SOLVED] 2400Mhz RAM running on a 1866Mhz board?

Z87 Sabertooth Motherboard
G.Skill Trident 2400MHz

I recently noticed my motherboard has a max speed of 1866MHz, but in the BIOs the XMP profile it set at 2400MHz.
Is my PC running at 2400MHz? When I manually set it to 1866MHz the DRAM Frequency drops.

Despite what specs say at Asus (i think they got it wrong, or didn't elaborate on OC frequencies, just default speeds), your ram is running at 2400. Cpuz only reads single data rate so you need to multiply it yourself by two to get double data rate figure.

does DDR3 2400 work for sabertooth z87?

I'm planning on getting the Asus Sabertooth Z87 motherboard and on the website spec (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z87/#specifications) it says "4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333 MHz Non-ECC" does that mean i can't use...
