I have recently built my first build (still gotta get the GPU tho...) and got 2 sticks of DDR3 1.65v RAM 4GB CL11-13-13-35 from Team Group Vulcan Red Series. I have Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 mobo, AMD FX-8350 oc to 4.5GHz, Cheap 650W psu, Samsung 840 EVO SSD on with RAPID mode on, ATI HD 5450... The thing is also when I try to set the speed any higher than 667MHz my pc will fail to start-up, I have X.M.P, but not set beacuse it will fail to boot... I tried soo many options in BIOS... Everywhere! But no luck, thanks for help, tell me if you need mor info.

you need to activate the xmp profile in the bios. it is located in power setting, where you can see and change voltages, core clocks and such.

oh. i see. i had a smiliar problem with hyperx RAM. i found i needed to manually stablish the RAM voltage at 1.65 V

If your motherboard allows XMP profiles then set it to XMP 1 or the AMD Memory Profile in the BIOS. Though looking at the board specs form the Gigabyte website it supports 1.5v memory, not 1.65v so I'd check memory compatibility.

Guys, I set those timings to 11-13-13-35 voltage is set to 1,65v. Since I set the timings to that I can ste freq. and it will boot, but it will still say it's running on 667MHz...
If I try to turn on X.M.P it won't boot... Yes I know this mobo actually don't support 2400MHz RAM, but I tought of underclocking it... But it simply won't boot, I know many things bout pcs, but this is just a bootleneck... Look guys if anyone could try to help me over Skype? I'd apriciate it a lot my Skype janjan2023 please guys, and also thanks for quick response!
