Hello,
I've been on countless forums here regarding this problem hoping to find an answer that would work, but finally decided to make an account after no avail.
I recently built a custom PC, and everything works fine except the DDR4 2400Mhz RAM will only read as 1886MHz. The most common answer I've seen is to activate the XMP profile; but when I do this, the computer wont boot and I have to hit the MemOK! button in order for it to boot up properly. If anyone would be able to help troubleshoot this it would make my day!

Computer specs:
Motherboard - ASUS Z170-A ATX
CPU - Intel I7-6700k 4.0 GHz (skylake)
RAM - Crucial Ballistix Sport (8GBx2) DDR4 2400Mhz
PSU - Corsair CX600M (older piece of equipment)
GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX760 (older piece of equipment)

Thanks for the reply. But, that seemed to not have any effect.
Even when setting all BIOS setting to "Auto" or "load optimized defaults", the system will not boot up

okay you can try and increase it in 0.005 increments or you could try increasing it by 0.05 increments to see if you hit that sweet spot

This did the trick. I was 2 BIOS versions behind. Flashing the new BIOS version in solved it

Thanks!
