Hello everyone,

I am looking to build a gaming pc by the end of the month... I want to achieve 240hz @ 1080p in CS:GO , Apex Legends , League of Legends. My budget is around 2000 EUROs.
I live in The Netherlands I would maybe overclock the cpu oh and need alot of RGB. I was wondering if an experienced person could help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you this looks good , would a ryzen be better or?
I changed a few things just now on that build I posted after I saw you wanted RGB.

As far as Ryzen vs i5 11400F/11400 .. check out the reviews/benchmarks.

If you have any plans on running that i5 11400F with the power limiter turned off in order to gain more FPS then I suggest one of these boards due to better VRM's.

And this cpu cooler

Here's a similar cpu cooler with RGB. You'd have to google the reviews on it to see if it's any good.

Wow I really need to do my homework , I was considering a r5 3600 but nevermind now that I saw this. Yeah ill be planning to run the cpu with power limiter turned off since apex legends is demanding and hard to achieve stable 240hz... Thank you alot @Why_Me

Not sure why you are running a 140 euro motherboard and a 70 euro cooler for a locked i5.

Very excessive considering you can't overclock it, and it doesn't draw that much power nor output that much heat.
I posted a 140 euro B560 board and a 50 euro cpu cooler as an option seeing how the OP stated he plans on running that cpu with the power limits turned off. The cpu spends a significant amount of time in turbo boost when you turn off the power limits in the bios. Its in the reviews I posted.

In PL2 this locked i5 creams the entire zen2 product stack and consumes around 125 watts. The cooler is justified, the motherboard has the VRMs at 140 so why spend more? The i5 is locked but is about 90-95% the performance of the zen3 product stack and higher priced 11th gens from intel, so why spend double the cost of the i5 for 5%?

You definitely do not need that expensive of a cooler or motherboard to unlock the limits on that chip.

How is any of this relevant. I didn't mention anything about changing the CPU to anything else.

If you want to talk about spending too much, a 210 euro Mobo+cooler combo for a i5 XX400 is a good example.

Its all relevant because you need a cooler that can deal with 125+ watts when boosting. The better the cooler the longer the boost the more performance. The motherboard that he chose has VRMs that can handle the additional load of no limits set for the CPU. Overheating VRMs cause all kinds of problems so if you were to spend 80 dollars on some bare bones motherboard you would be having these issues with this CPU if it were to be set to no limits.

If you insist on your viewpoint of using a cheap motherboard without decent VRMs the OP might get the wrong idea and get said motherboard to save a buck instead of making the right purchasing decision. @Why_Me also included a non RGB 50 dollar Euro cooler, but as the OP said he wants RGB and you have to pay extra for such things.
