[SOLVED] 240hz monitor stuck on 60hz

So I just bought a Acer 27" 240hz gaming monitor. Its connected to my new P.C through a Display Port. However no matter what settings I mess with it seems to be stuck at 60 Hertz. Any ideas on what I can do to fix it?

Try going onto the monitor settings to change the refresh rate and check nvida control panel to see if the settings not capped onto 60.

Double check you’re plugged into the gpu not the motherboard.
