Ok Im going to be using my c as a complete media center, dvd, cable tv, music...etc and I need a nice 24-27in monitor that will accept the input from my Sony digital cable box as well as my PC. Im looking to spend under $1000 the cheaper the better, will something like this work for me??

24in lcd

any others i should be looking at?
Thanks

is that resolution for real. if that is used for anything other than tv viewing then everything wont look that sharp i woudnt think. im with dhlucke the dell rocks. the colours are great and there are alot of connectors. if you use memory cards the card reader is great.

dont know what it wouldve cost me in dollars but in pounds mine cost 674 including shipping and ive seen them cheaper on ebay.

Can I use the dell to watch tv as well? I have digital cable and want to run this into the monitor as well as my PC. Im looking fr something in the 24-27in size. Any others?
Thanks

If you have digital cable check to see if you have an s -video out or a component output on the back of your box, if you do I should work great!

also try Syntax Olevia LCD tv's they have a 27 inch for about 699 US that has a native 1280 x 720 with 12 ms response time , and it has all the hookups you want including cable. I used one for gaming for over a year until I retired it to actually use it as a TV in my bedroom. I just recently bought the Dell 24" mostly because I just wanted higher resolutions than the 27 could give me.

Do you know if you can use something like this
crt hdtv

instead of an LCD tv?? Will the picture be anywere near as good as the lcd when using the pC?? It has an HDMI input so i could get a dvi-hdmi adapter. Anyone have any expereince with this sort of tv wwth there pc?? How does the resolution compare to an lcd?? I would thinkit should be the same both are HDTV ready?
thanks
