I'm coming from a 23" 1080p monitor. How is the difference between the two sizes at the same resolution? I have not seen either in person and will probably never compare them side-by-side. So with that in mind, would you say a 27" worth the ~$100 price difference?

In case you're wondering, I'm considering buying either the ASUS PB258Q or PB278Q.

Hey Friend...the only difference in screen size + resolution will be it's pixel density/dpi/ppi: how small the pixels look and how close you can sit to the monitor without noticeing the pixels.

Your 1080p monitor @ 23" gives you a 95dpi (dots per inch)...where as the 1440p at 25" provides 117 and 1440p at 27" gives you 108.

I personally prefer larger displays, and the dpi will still be an improvement with the 27". Either way, it's going to be a great update.
