please keep in mind that this budget includes all components and peripherals.
all I need is a smooth workflow.. Like when you're scrubbing through the video and it doesn't take time to load the frames.. render times doesn't matter to me. I know an i5 would be ideal but the budget is too short. I also know I could save a lot more if I get used components but I want this machine to last longer and be more reliable. so im sticking with brand new.

i'm torn between getting a g4560 or g4620 which ever is available with a gt 1030 or should I just go with the i3 7100 and the integrated intel hd 630?
and yeah with light gaming in mind of course. mostly just e-sports

suggestions?

Have you ever heard of Ryzen 3? It is best processor for video editing, at price of i3-7100, it has 4 cores, 4 threads and it is overcockable to 4 GHz. Also, motherboards that supports overclocking are much cheaper than Intel ones.

Yea actually I just got home from window shopping.. ryzen 3 stocks just arrived today and people say it needs a discrete gpu. But the people at the store told me that the integrated gpu on the mobo was good enough.. is it really good enough?

Mmm.. so my thoughts were right.. yea guess I'll have to go get a discrete plus ryzen.. its price to performance is so good that ill spend a bit more.. and the case isn't an issue.. we have local brands that cost like 8 bucks

You going to need to buy a used PC since you need everything. Just windows is 90 bucks.

Nah Linux is fine

I already did. and I can afford a ryzen build, which i'm glad someone pointed that one out, and don't base the prices online. If you buy directly from stores which sell them at lower prices you can save a lot more.
in fact I bought my gtx 1060 on my gaming rig for 180 bucks.. which is like 230 on amazon?
