Hi all,

I'm trying to get someone to chime in on their experience upgrading from a 2500k to a 3770k. I've looked all over and all i can find are theory crafters saying its not worth it.

My current rig:

Intel 2500k @ 4.7
corsair 650watt 80+ bronze
Asrock extreme 6
2x Samsung 840 evo ssd (250 GB + 1TB)
MSI gtx 780ti
corsair vengeance 16GB ram 1600

I have the money to blow and it wouldn't take much to convince me to hit the order submit button. But I do want to know what to expect from someone who's actually done it. I exclusively use my PC for gaming btw and am a fiend for lowering frametime variance.

I haven't done it, but you can easily expect a slight FPS increase in most games and great FPS increase in CPU demanding games (e.g. Crysis 3, Skyrim, Battlefield 4). Your computer will also probably turn on a bit faster. However, the most noticeable change is going to be in video rendering time - way faster.
