2500K Overclocked Usage and Temperature

So I have overclocked my 2500K to 4.2 GHz and in games like GTA V my CPU usage is around 90 %, sometimes 100 % but my temperature never goes over 55 °C (I have the 212 EVO cooler). Is that normal, should I be worried about usage or temperature?

No, the high usage is normal on gta 5. The Evo 212 is an excellent cooler and the temperature is good as well. As long as you can keep it under 80c at l times you are not going to have any issues.

if your CPU is keeping to 55 °C under that kind of a lode then you have quite a good one. you could likely push it to 4.6GHz with out an issue. (whats the voltage your using?)

so long as your under 80 °C i see nothing to be worried about. i recommend running something like Prim95 to get a better sense of your upper temperature range than a game though.

I'm currently on 1.288 V though that increases when in game. But does the CPU not get damaged when it works at 100%?

thats a pretty small overclock for the 2500k, 55'c means you have a lot more headroom. I would try for 4.4Ghz.

No CPU wont get damaged running at 100% its totally fine for it.
