hmmm...dosn't look that big
just about twice as thick as a normal drive
but that 900 dollar price is ridiculous
external hard drives are much cheaper and hold a lot more

Yea, i don't understand, buying a HDD that is notebook sized and runs off usb power, and your good. Some easily fit in your pocket, so this is ridiculous.

With a 256Gb Thumb Drive, I would chain it to my wrists (or neck), and never let it out of my sight. NEVER

Then again, who the hell will pay $900 for a flash drive? I know I get horny sometimes but hey, I don't need 256GB of porn on the road......

Agreed, Its going to take 10 years to fill that at USB 2.0 speeds.

Well, I know it won't cost more than my computer; as my build just cost over CAD$5000...so it's a lot cheaper than my computer!

However, I definately want one!

I would wait 3 days to move a large files and then stab myself in the leg for spending 900 dollars on a jump drive instead on a portable HDD with esata or firewire.

I was just wondering, is it possible to make eSata pendrives? If that would be possible, it will be really awesome!

Well some people have created a scsi enclosure for a bunch of these flash drives. So, give that an eSATA interface and there you go.

But as far as these things go, if they get cheaper, then it would be nice to get rid of BluRay and DVD and have kiosks (or your computer) where you can download movies to be played in your xbox or ps3 in Hi-Def. But then again, you don't need 256GB to do that anyway. 32GB would do it.

The article is poorly worded. The writer didn't mean the thumb drive is physically larger than the HDD, but that it has more storage space than many HDDs.

Poorly worded? Is that ever a surprise?
