Hi,
I have heard that 2560*1440 resolution monitors need at least gtx 770 or better graphic card in order for the games to run smoothly on ultra setting otherwise the FPS would be extremely hindered? Could any experts clarify on this issue?
If you have a choice, would you prefer a monitor with 1920*1200 with msi 760 vs 2560*1440 with gtx 770?
Cheers

It really depends on the games you play. If you're looking at Crysis 3 then you won't be able to max out everything including AA even with 770 SLI at 2560x1440. Most games will run perfectly with with a 770 though.

For Ultra a HD 7950 overclocked to 1100Mhz would do it, and they are dirt cheap right now. A HD 7850 2GB (VRAM limitations with anything lower) overclocked to 1100mhz can do high on BF3 without AA.

I have 7870 CF overclocked a little and get 30-65 fps on Crysis 3 at 2560x1440, ultra, AA off. There is no way a single 680 is playable at those settings WITH AA ON. I'm definitely siding with BigMack here. Chris is lying. End of story. Also, a 2660k doesn't exist.
