2560x1080 on 34in or 29in ultrawide?

I am looking for new monitor, preferably ultrawide but only have fx-6300 and r9 280 so I cant push 3440x1440 at 60 frames for most games so I will have to go with 1080. My question is whether or not I should get a 34in ultra wide with only 2560x1080 or will it look like crap? should I get 29in then?

If you are sitting about 3-5 feet away, it is better to use 29" for 2560x1080.

Edit: pixel density (total pixels/size) and the point where you could start noticing the pixels or grains has something to do with viewing distance.
