Hello guys, i was just wondering which is more graphics intensive between a 1080p ultrawide or a 1440p 16:9. I was planning to buy a gtx 1060 with r5 2600x

Well, more pixels = more stress. You don't even have to do calculations to see that 2560x1440 > 2560x1080.

However, 2560 x 1440 = 3686400, and 2560 x 1080 = 2764800. This means the 1440p monitor has 33% more pixels.

1060 may have issues in 1440p. Depends on the game you're playing. Overall, ultrawides aren't really worth the hype. Cool in some games sure, but when you can't use the full width of the monitor it looks bad.
