Question 2560x1080p on second monitor ?

So I recently got a 1920x1080p monitor it was a higher hz monitor so I will be using it as my main. When i connect the 2560x1080 monitor, the ultrawide one it automatically sets the ultrawide to 1920x1080 and it says that's the max in windows settings. How do I fix this?

Tell us you systems specs please.
Currently it sounds like you either have integrated graphics and have reached the resolution limits between both displays or you have the 2nd monitor cloned to the 1080 instead of extended.
