2560x1440 for ps4

Hi I'm currently in the process of looking to upgrade to a 27 inch monitor just for my PS4 as my current PC works fine with a 24 inch 1080p. I wondered if it was worth getting a 2560x1440p monitor just for ps4 as aim unsure even if the ps4 supports this resolution

No it doesn't. The only way to get a higher resolution is to buy a 4k TV that can upscale. 1080 on a 1440 monitor will result in a slightly blurred image and fine detail lost in the picture, you always want to stay on 1:1 pixel mapping.

Why are you buying a high res screen for your console and not your PC? Even if the PC cant handle that res when gaming, you can at least get the extra screen real estate.
Get the 1440p for the PC and move the 1080p over.
