Overclocking build and future sli when price drops. Far cry 3 benchmarks show 1600p at ultra settings bringing a 7970 to avg of around only 30fps! Hoping OCd ghz ed gpu and OCd i53570k will bring it up a good bit. Im looking at either a $389 pixel perfect 2560x1440p monitor on ebay or one of these 2560x1600p : (530$ catleap) ($550 crossover) or ($630 crossover with a no dead pixel guarantee.) Anybody used both a 1440p and a 1600p? Which is worth it? Ive heard 1440p are crisper but 1600 gives u a much bigger view in game. Almost tax refund time guys be a boss and throw me a reply!

For Far Cry3, I would prefer a Nvidia GTX670.
And as you said you'll SLI cards in Future, +1 for Nvidia again.
And get a 4GB Model. If you can, Because that will be Future Proof.

And as said Above, You need a PSU replace like a Corsair AX850

GTX 670, one fps lower then a 680 but 100 bucks cheaper. gotta love it. most factory OC's on 670's make them better then refrence 680's :/ toms has a review of a few difrent brands of aftermarket 670's you should look at.

Yeah I agree - ditch the PSU and pay a bit more for the case - you should not purchase a $50 case if you're getting a 7970. Get at least a Corsair 400R or NZXT Phantom 410.

K thanks for the tips. I changed it to a corsair enthusiast 850watt and a nxzt tempest 410 elite. Im going with 7970 ghz x2 iceq turbo 3gb because it beats 680 in most other games and is $100 cheaper. It has dual dvi port and it is better than the 7970 ghz matrix and lightning on some benchmarks at about $50-$80 cheaper. I see its 2 fps lower than 680 but it overclocks better than 680. Idk about 7970 crossfire vs 680 sli. Ill go look that up. Nvidia has physx and runs cooler and less power but soooo expensive. What u guys think?

Lol yes..... All these crazy b**ches. (Benches). Btw i just read that crossfire 7970ghz ed beats a 690 and beats 680 in sli. I cant find a good link tho. I wish there was a bench on the best 680 edition (ftw?) In sli Vs the 7970 ghz crossfired. 3gb versions because 4 or 6 are ridiculous

Ud3h only has one pcie x 16 slot. And 2 (x4 lane) slots. Asrock has one x16 and two x8 lane slots. Better for xfire. And it also matches or surpasses the asus and gigabyte in OCing and speed benchmarks. Idk if the new gig is better at OCing than the old one but i looked it up and it still only has 2x4pcie
