Hello experts,

I have a Samsung PM800 256GB SSD that is only showing as a 238GB drive. I've formatted and disk management only shows one partition. This was Dell OEM and there is no firmware update for my model. I only used this about 2 years and want to sell as it's just been sat collecting dust, so want to get the size to show correctly.

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

Microsoft and memory RAM manufacturers calculate 1 Gigabyte as 1,073,741,824 bytes.

Reduce the capacity by 7% from any HDD or SSD and that is your formatted capacity.

The additional 10gb may be reserved for the SSD to keep itself fast.
