Question 2600 x vs 3500x with rx 580

Hello everyone am not Santiago Santiago am :pkong6j today am looking to make order amd 3500x i already have 2600x and my gpu rx 580 8giga and asus motherboard b450 prime plus am looking for help and advice about this two cpu and if ican get more power in New games at 1080p only thanks very much :D:D

That's a 2600 vs a 3500x ,so with a 2600x you'd be looking at average 0-5fps. Highly game dependent. Might even loose fps if the game is seriously thread heavy and taxes all 6 available threads on the 3500x. If you want more cpu power that'd show a difference, you'd need at least a 3700x

Keep in mind, they're testing with a 2080 Ti at 1080p resolution, a $1100+ graphics card that's around 3 times as fast as an RX 580. With an RX 580, you would likely see no significant performance gain in those kinds of demanding games, even with the fastest CPUs currently on the market, as performance will be primarily limited by the graphics card more than anything. Maybe in certain esports titles at reduced settings on a high refresh-rate screen you would see a bit of performance gain from a 3000-series processor, but probably not enough to be worth the upgrade. And as was said the 3500X lacks SMT, so heavily-multithreaded performance might even be slightly worse in some cases.
