hello I wanted to ask the following I have a 2600k CPU without being able to do it OC ... it is worth the update to an i5 8600k .. what it means to spend on new parts (RAM.CPU, MB) .. I will only use it to play

the motherboard ASUS P8Z77 V when press suppress the screen remains stuck in black without being able to enter the BIOS and do OC

Solution

Try it. There are several old bios motherboards that dont support USB but require the use if PS/2

but I still run everything to the maximum in the games and I think that my 1060 6g would do bottleneck with the 8660k?

the 2600k should have no issues driving the GTX 1060 6GB. The CPU is a huge upgrade for you, but mainly on the ends of raw speed and productivity. Not necessarily an upgrade for you in terms of gaming. But, you will enjoy a nice gaming performance boost also. The GTX 1060 has its FPS limits, and the 2600k can still carry those limits.

so need a new MB to do OC at 2600k and avoid spend on 8600k like you said

If you want to OC, then maybe troubleshooting could be done to see why you cant go into your BIOS on your motherboard. Or, a new Mobo might help. You can still keep the same RAM. But without the overclock, the GTX 1060 should be fine with the 2600k.
