2600x + stock cooler VS 2600 + aftermarket solution

Greetings fellow PC enthusiasts.

After I was made aware that my lag spikes are caused by a mild CPU bottleneck (plus somewhat date 8GB of ram) I decided to do an upgrade. So after doing some research decided to get with either Ryzen 5 2600 or it's slightly faster twin known as Ryzen 2600X.

But here's where it gets tricky. Right now my budget dictates that I can only buy either:

  • ■ A.) Ryzen 5 2600 with an aftermarket cooler (such as Arctic Freezer 33 Plus/deepcool gammaxx 300)
    or
    ■ B.) Ryzen 5 2600X with its stock Wraith Spire cooler.

Of course, I am thinking of overclocking the CPU it to best of the cooler's ability.

In case anyone is interested, the other components that I will be buying go with either of these CPU's are G.Skill Aegis DDR4 16GB RAM (2x8GB) 3000MHz CL16 1.35V XMP 2.0 and ASRock B450M PRO4 motherboard.

My current specs are as follows:

i5-4670k @ 3.4Ghz
RTX 2060
PSU Seasonic S12II-620 620W 80 Plus Bronze
H87M-E33
8GB DDR3 RAM

Therefore my questions would be:

  • ■ Which of the options (A or B) would deliver better gaming performance?
    ■ Is my current PSU still sufficient for either of these overclocked CPU's?

If you are planning to overclock the CPU then the stock cooler will not give proper cooling, for overclocking you will need a aftermarket cooler SO the option one Ryzen 5 2600 with aftermarket cooler looks good option

These there the coolers I've seen in one of Ryzen 5 2600 overclocking guides. Do you have some better alternative in the same price range?

Does it fit in a medium-sized tower case? Right now Im just looking for something that would fit in my this rather small case of mine, and could help 2600 to reach 4.1-4.2Ghz.

If a small, effective can like that is not an option I will just go for the 2600x variant. I'd very much appreciate a fast reply since I really want this to be done with (i.e. decided and ordered).
