Question 2600x vs 2700x for my build ?

What is this PC to be used for?

My first thought would be that if you only want to get a 2700x in case you need more cores in the future I'd say you're better off just getting the 2600X for now and upgrading to a higher core count Ryzen 3000/4000 if/when you need to.

On the other hand, if you're willing to spend $130 on case fans maybe splurging and getting a 2700X right off the bat isn't a bad option.

Can't see the point of all those RGB fans when there's only 2x exhaust slots, no cpu cooler other than stock, and a rather opaque front to the case. You already paid for RGB strips with the H500i, you'll only need 2 decent fans at intake if you keep the 2x exhausts at RBG.

I plan on playing single maybe dual screen 1080p 144hz FreeSync gaming CSGO, blackout, WoW, GTA I just want a nice future proof PC that is esthetically pleasing and capable of playing AAA titles at 144 frames

Which fans would be the exhaust fans? Maybe just do RGB on top and rear fan then

As for the cpu, i think a 2600X is good for now. To me it would be a better idea to save the extra cash for a Zen 2 or Zen 2+ cpu in the future.

Good looking on the SSD and CPU opinion not gaining much for the extra 120$ right now but I’m pretty much sold on the Mobo because it better matches the red/black I’m going for with this build

Then go for it, i only really swapped the mobo and ram since you had the RGB fans and thought you might have liked some extra RGB.
I think the difference between 6 and 8 cores now is not worth the 120$, however that 120$ will get you closer to a 3000 or 4000 series upgrade.

As for the top fan, the case you chose only has single 120mm-140mm fan slot on the top.

If you want more RGB and are will to pay for the extra cost for performance, I'd recommed this RGB Samsung B-Die RAM:

I'd also throw in a 1 TB HDD just as insurance against SSD failure.

Not sure what your idea is for this. HDDs can and do fail also. In fact, their failure rate has been shown to be generally higher than SSDs.

You protect yourself from drive failures by having system backups. Whether that's in cloud storage or local storage (ie external hdds/NAS/etc). It's generally not a great idea to keep your only data backup inside the same machine you intend to save as a result of a drive failure for...obvious reasons of causality.

^ I just meant that it is good to have a HDD for storing Videos, photos and back ups.
I personally have 3 internal HDDs (one with back ups of important files), 3 SSDs and 1 external HHD (with back ups).
So if any of my drives fail I am covered.

And TBH I have never had an internal HDD fail but I have had two external drives fail over the last 10 years.
I'd guess the fact that externals run much hotter cause that, in my case at least.

I gotcha. Yes, I also have a dual drive setup (SSD + HDD). This is typically justified by saying that you don't need to pay for expensive SSD storage space to store photos/videos/documents/backups/etc so you throw them on a cheap/TB HDD. As QLC SSDs are coming down in prices, some people are replacing "HDD" in that previous sentence with "QLC SSD"
