I know most people with scoff at this question and say just go ahead and get a new card. But, for curiosity's sake.....I have been using 260gtx X 2 for years now and they still play most games on med. I have a friend that will give me a EVGA 750ti. I have read several 1 on 1 articles about the comparison but never a 260 sli vs single 750i. Should I stick with what I have or switch to the 750ti? Could someone with experience walk me thru it or point me in the right direction?

Solution
a 750ti is like 200% faster (3 times faster) than a 260, and SLI doesn't provide anywhere near double the performance. you'd get maybe a 60% increase in the right game.
I think the 750ti would do a better job, I actually own one and I saw some videos on the 260x2, I get some more frames with mine, MSI TwinFrozr 750ti 2gb (about 10 more frames stock, 15-20, overclocked).

Pros:
The 750ti is WAY more power efficent
750ti 60w, and a single 260 drawing about 180w
Way more CUDA cores
I don't need pins from the psu to power it
Its all packed nicely in one card
It's way newer
Supports alot more features
The reference card is about half the length of it
DirectX 12
OpenGL 4.4
4k support
Up to 4 displays support
4 times the VRAM of a 260

Cons:
No SLI
Less memory bandwith
Less memory interface width(wich 448-bit is ridiculous because you only have about 900mb of VRAM)
