2666 mhz ram

Hi. I have Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb(2x4gb) 2666mhz so is it like both sticks are 1333mhz and together 2666mhz? Because im upgrading my ram so i dont buy wrong kit. Thanks

No not quite 😉 The true freq of the DRAM is 1333, but this is DDR (DOUBLE data rate) so you take the true freq x 2 = effective or 2666. If wanting to run same will want 2666 advertised DRAM 😉
