I currently have an i5 8600K CPU and I am looking to do a little upgrade to the 11th Gen i5. Which one I haven't quite decided yet.
At the moment I am using 2666MHz DDR4 RAM in my system, so my question is will there be any noticable impact if I use this RAM on the new CPU?
From my understanding the top officially supported RAM (without overclocking) on the 11th Gen i5's is 2933MHz.
While my RAM is only 267MHz slower, I'd just like to know what consequences this will have.
I'd like to avoid buying more RAM if possible on top of buying a new motherboard to go with the CPU, hence my question.
