Looking to get a new monitor and frankly looking through PC Part Picker has me totally lost. I'm not really sure what the differences are in panel types (TN vs IPS) and would love to have some recommendations from the fine folks here who have a monitor in that category.

I play lots of CS but I'm not overly concerned with having a very short response time which I think TN helps with while IPS has better color? While I play lots of CS I play lots of AAA games and love me some good graphics.

Any thoughts on monitors at that standard and IPS vs TN?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
TN Twisted Nematic
VA Vertical Alignment
IPS In-Plane Switching (PLS)

TN has the best response times. Poor viewing angles and color.
VA is a mix between TN and IPS, it has good response times, decent color, however, viewing angles are still a slight problem, however, most VA panels are curved in the gaming market. This means good color reproduction for a single user.
IPS is the 'slowest' but they've been making great strides since the first 1440p 144hz 27" IPS panels. Best color and viewing angles.

Really depends what you want to spend:

Thanks for the suggestions! Price isn't really an issue so I think i'll just be leaning towards the best IPS panel I can find.
