Hey, I've been using my crappy 21.5" Acer monitor for around a year now, and I feel like my eyes deserve better. I'm currently searching for a 27" 1440p monitor, preferably with a panel better than TN.

My top candidate ATM is the BenQ GW2765HT. It sports the 1440p resolution I want with a IPS panel. I like the sound of the monitor as it doesn't cost a fortune, but is there a better option for the money? The cheapest I found it was €400.

I've also read about the BenQ BL2710PT; it's basically the same as the GW2765HT with a heftier price tag and a few features more. Any ideas on this?

I am currently running the k27hul from acer, 27inch 1440p with my water cooled reference gtx 980. I admit I use my 144hz for any fps type gaming, but I got that 1440p 27inch for about $260 on sale. It was just too good to pass up being a close cousin to an IPS panel. I was running GTA 5 Y-day at high settings and I ran fraps and kept 50+ FPS on the 1440p.

Anything equivalent to a 280x will run 1440p just fine. Generally performance is just fine because your able to turn AA down, I ran a single 7970 on 1440p for a long time, I have now crossfired but there are still times when I have to run just one due to CF compatibility issues and a single 7970/280x does the job.

That is the monitor I have ^^^ speaking only from experience. THE ONLY reason I went with this monitor is the price. There are so many $400+ monitors that will best this thing. I wanted to get into a 1440p monitor without paying over $700 with a decent response time(6ms) so you will see some tearing if you go turning off AA and whatnot to increase FPS. IT is a 60HZ monitor so if your coming from 120+ HZ you will notice the 6ms. I love the monitor, it is my daily driver and the only time I swap over to my 144hz is really for StarCraft when I feel like laddering. otherwise I let my sister use the 144hz l0l

Where can we actually find a decent list of available Korean monitors like the Qnix? I've looked into it before but I didn't actually find much.

ebay, most of them come with free 2 day shipping from Korea. http://www.ebay.com/itm/QNIX-QX2710-LED-Evolution-ll-Matte-27-2560x1440-SAMSUNG-PLS-Panel-PC-Monitor-/130933173797?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e7c39ae25
