I have been watching all kind of Monitors for a while now and one thing bothers me a lot.

As Gamer, i love to have good monitor. Fast, color-rich and pretty overall.
What i would LOVE to see, is 90Hz, IPS/PLS, 27 inch, 2560x1440, 5ms GtG with g-sync.

Why 90hz when there's 120hz and 144hz monitors on TN-panels?
Because TN-Panel..
And to me personally, higher than 90Hz is a waste. I love to play my games with very nice quality and effects. And since i am not top-up spender, i rarely have hardware strong enough to push my FPS over 80-90. So 90Hz would be ideal.

Why IPS/PLS?
Because games on those looks simply gorgeous! I dont need to say anything else to this.

So Why.. oh WHY people don't make these???

Only way to get close to this, is to go for Korean robbery-lottery, which is no-no for me.

If this kind of monitor came out for example from Asus, with good customer service and warranty, i'd take 3, instantly, no questions asked.

To my knowledge, only IPS/PLS panels that are faster then ~60hz are the aforementioned Korean panels (the Yamakasi Q270 Catleap Extreme 2B to be precise) which if your lucky (or buy one already validated for a very high price) can get to 120hz.

120hz.net have a deal with Yamakasi for the continued production of the Extreme 2B's and sell them through their website, and validate them for 120hz. If you want to get 120hz IPS, thats pretty much your only option as for general consumers the Extreme 2B's are out of production.

I think their store is down right now, just brings up an error.

Exactly. I just dont like this big "If you are lucky"-part. This is a phrase that keeps my money in my wallet.
I just... you know... don't see why not.
It's not that big manufacturers Couldn't get this kind of Tech to consumers, for reasonable price. I just think it's more like they don't want to deliver something like this. Call me crazy, if you will.
OR they never considered this kind of option to put out.. i don't know.

That link is EXACTLY what i was wondering too. Manufacturers seems to be holding back, even if they COULD give us godness goodies! Makes me aaaangry!!

Not so much manufactures but the re-sellers. To my knowledge the only guys actually making LCD panels are Samsung and LG, all the other companies are using their panels.
If Samsung and LG were charging heaps for a panel, you wouldnt have no-name brands selling 4k screens for cheap or the entire business around these Korean screens.
