27 inch to 34 inch

need advice

I have a ASUS VG278HE 27 inch 144Hz 1920x1080 monitor would like to upgrade

I am planning to pruchase LG-34UC79G 144Hz 2560 x 1080 would this be a better upgrade,

secondly, would there be any drop in frame rates in 2560x1080

My system Specs:
-i7-6800K, ASUS X99-II A, 32GB corsair vengence ram 2400Mhz, EVGA GTX1070 superclocked
