Hello, Im going to buy a new 1440p curved monitor for gaming and graphic design but I can't decide whether to choose a 27-inch or a 32-inch model. My desk is big enough for a 32-inch but I haven't used a 32-inch monitor before and I fear it's display won't be as sharp as the 27 due to lower pixels per inch.
Screen sharpness is very important to me but at the same time I love bigger screens.

So I'm a little bit undecided. The distance between my eyes and the screen while sitting in front of screen would be about 80 cm. So can anyone please help me decide which one to go for ?

English is not my native language !

Thanks in advance ❤️

It depends on what you are used to, your age and preferences. You are looking at 100ppi vs 90ppi.

A 32" to 36" 2560x1440p screen is the same 90-80ppi as a 24" to 27" 1920x1080p monitor, so the font sizes at 100% should be the same: easy-to-read with no eyestrain. So is a 48" to 55" 3840x2160p "4k" TV if you want to sit that close to one.

A 27" 2560x1440 16:9 screen is 100ppi which is probably a bit too small unless you like to sit closer. Lots of things here will look better when fonts are set to 125-150% size, but of course Windows doesn't scale everything correctly so things that don't magnify properly will be difficult to read if you are older, but possible with some eyestrain. 100ppi is equivalent in pixel size to a 19" 4:3 screen at 1600x1200 or a 22.5" 1920x1200 16:10 screen----a touch too fine for many people (unless of course it's a laptop or phone where your eyes would be really close and 100ppi wouldn't seem fine enough).

I personally do like 100ppi screens but sit more like 50cm away. The curved panel really helps your eyes not have to change focus as much when looking at the corners of the screen.

I went from 2 27" 4k monitors to 2 34" ultrawide curved 1440P. on average i sit around 2 feet away which is fine to read text, but leaning back in my chair around 3 feet away is really hard to read. Other then the fact the new 34's are wider and took a few weeks to get use to them, i really didn't notice to much of a difference between the two.

The biggest change was running the 27's side by side and then running the 34's on top of each other. the top screen is on a wall mount arm and is angled down so when looking up at it the screen is pointed directly at me.
