Question 27' Monitors, 1080p vs 1440p Good or Bad?

I had some questions about 27' Monitors....

Are 1080p 27' monitors a good buy or nah? Or should I stick to 27' monitors that have 1440p for Gaming, Video Editing, and 3D Modeling/3D Animation? What are some pros and cons for 27' monitors that run 1920x1080?? (aka 1080p) I've seen a lot of monitors (27 inch) that use 1920x1080 or 1080p...

Another thing I see is when I'm looking at monitors (again 27 inch) that look good, have good specs, but they still use 1080p. What? Am I missing something, or am I just off by a mile? This applies to both New and Used Monitors

If you had the good GPU to support the games at 1440p, and you have the budget, and read this: https://techguided.com/is-1440p-worth-it-for-gaming/
but the 27" 1440p is good for Video Editing, and 3D Modeling/3D Animation. One more: read the review first before you buy it.
