Hey =)

I'm looking to buy a new monitor for my father for christmas!

1. What Is Your Country Of Origin?
Austria

2. What do you plan to do with this monitor? (ex. Games, Movie Watching, Photo Editing, etc.)
Only casual activities: surfing the web, some office with excel etc and, most important, watching NBA games over the internet
NO Gaming at all.

3. What resolution and screen size do you want?
1920x1200/1080 , 27"

4. What refresh rate do you want? (ex. 60 hz , 70 hz.)
whats best for movies/sports

5. How much are you looking to spend?
200-300€ max

6. Brands Preferred (ex. Samsung, Acer, Asus, AOC, HP, Viewsonic, etc. )
I guess known brands, Samsung, BenQ etc.

7. Brands Not Preferred (state reason why)
none

8. Are You Buying More Than One Monitor?
no

9. How Many Displays Can Your GPU Support Maximum? And what GPU and driver version are you using if applicable?
one, the monitor will be connected to a GeForce 210 (2GB), no idea about the nvidita driver version number.

10. What Port Do You Want To Connect To (ex. DVI-D, HDMI, etc).
HDMI

11. Is This Monitor A Primary Display Or A Secondary Display?
Primary

12. Is This A Secondary Display For A Laptop?
No.

A concern I have are perfomance issues because the new 27" will be connected to a kinda old PC (GeForce 210 with 2GB memory, 4GB RAM, Intel Core 2DUO E7500 (2x2,9Ghz)).
I hope this does not cause any (performance) issues when watching HD Movies/sports games?

I have already looked around the Web and found this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AJ2811255&cm_re=BenQ_GW2760HM-_-9SIA0AJ2811255-_-Product

Would this be something recommendable? (I can get it on amazon.de for 199€)

I'm open to and happy for all recommendations,

Thanks in advance!
