Hi All,

I'm looking to purchase a new gaming rig shortly which consists of an AMD 7 7800X3D, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz and 20GB ASUS TUF GAMING RADEON RX 7900 XT OC to run iRacing, LMU and American Truck Simulator at max settings at 1440p.

I was looking at a single 27" monitor but quite a few people are recommending a 34" 1440p Ultrawide. Would the above specs handle max settings on an ultrawide or should I opt for the 27"? I'm coming from console and I'm used to 60fps so anything up to 120fps would be enough for me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1440p ultrawide is notch less pixels than 4K. And on 4K your GPU can average around 75 FPS.

So, 1440p ultrawide does fine with your GPU. FPS would be ~80-90 or so. Probably more if you play ATS. Also, ultrawide gives better immersion on such racing/sim games.
