275R big enough for custom water loop?

I have the Corsair 275R as my case and as I’ve been looking in to custom water loops more and more I’ve been wondering if the 275R can house one. Has anyone built a custom water loop in a 275R or a similar case? Thanks in advance.

custom loop can be built into anything.
while far from best/convenient/liquid cooling friendly, 275R is decent enough to cool an average gaming rig. Though you might consider something else.

Im trying to overclock to 5ghz with a gpu loop as well. Im just waiting to get a gpu worth cooling . my only worry was if the gpu were to be so long as to get in the way of a vertical pump. Im not sure if this is a realistic concern or not.

I want to give this custom loop a shot but I just don’t know what pump res I should opt for. What do u use in ur case?

There are two pumps:
1. D5
2. DDC
the branding is mostly not important as most of them made by Lowara.
I use the D5 because it's quieter. DDC is more compact.
If I were to buy res today, I'd go for the Singularity Computers top and res.

I’m confused abt the pump top. Would I need a pump, res, and pump top? What’s the function of the pump top?

This would run up to abt $200 right. Is it really worth it when the photon 170 is $40-50 less also with a d5 pump?

yes you need a pump, a top and a res.
some of them sold in combinations.
the differences between tops and reservoirs from different brands include, but not limited to, performance, endurance, convenience, versatility, all sorts of visual features.
I'd pick the Singularity Computers one despite the price, mostly because it looks good, great performer, excellent convenience with huge amount of ports and very well thought mounting options. it's the only one I know that allows both direct attached and separate top with res configurations.

Most D5 are the same PWM or manual controlled.
there are exceptions like Aquacomputer that add some cool things. BTW strongly recommend to look at their CPU blocks and controllers. They are kinda rolls royce of liquid cooling. Alphacool makes a D5 that has both PWM and manual speed control. Some brands offer sleeved cables - you can do it yourself.
but performance wise, all 12V D5 are the same. When looking for D5 get the one that powered by SATA connector if you can.

Going Singularity Computers, you need following:
1. Pump motor - starting at 60$

2.1 you need some way to mount the top. some pumps come with retention ring , some does not. a bit ugly https://www.singularitycomputers.com/shop/watercooling/d5-stock-retention-ring/

3. protium res - your choice of size and color
4. Mounting depending on the res size and where (and how) you want to mount the res

And again, the 275R is far from best for the liquid cooling. You are going to spend over 300$ on a loop. at least put the system in appropriate case.

Just to clarify the d5 pump does not need to be from singularity.

and if i'm not mistaken, they sell alphacool's pump.
