27inch too big for gaming?

I'm particularly looking at the ViewSonic X Series VX2739WM 27"

-FULL HD
-1ms response time
-Contrast ratio - 100,000-1

Pretty much looking for that great 23inch FULL HD picture but at 27in, is it even possible?

If it is a quality monitor, I don't think you'll have any issues with it, i.e. the clarity and detail should be fine. Read up on a few reviews first to make sure though.

Yeah a 27" is possible! I'm trying to decide between a 27.5" (viewable area whatever the hell that means) and a 25.5" monitor. These are my picks:

Be carefull how close you sit to a monitor, I bought the Samsung P2770H and it was big and beautifull... But it also almost melted my eyes out of my head it was so bright.

You turn down the brightness too much on those TN panels and your greyscale will suffer badly from my experience.

I think a 27" would potentially be fine, but I personally am looking for a 24" with a better picture.

I calibrate a lot of monitors and I think TN panels are not all THAT bad if you do calibrate them. Unfortunately a calibration tool cost more than a TN monitor itself lol.

its not big for one monitor you must check the eyefinity technology wich uses up to 6 monitor per 1 GPU
