2800 Sempron

Anyone installed the 2800 Sempron? Just wondering because looking to upgrade my socket A system. I know it might be a better option to upgrade to an AMD 64 bit system but tight on cash considering graduate studies. I possess a XP 2000+ right now. I know people are going to present the XP 2500 Mobile but I do not over clock at this time considering that my system is critical concerning graduate school. Just looking for an extra boost referencing gaming. While Half-Life 2 runs alright. It does possess a lot of load time. Counter Strike plays good but it would probably run better with a better proc.

A 2800 sempron would be about on par with an xp2500+ Is it worth the price? How much ram do you have? What graphics card? These might give more bang for your buck.

Well here is what I got:

512 megs of Kingston RAM and a really crappy XFX (Nvidia G-Force 4) 64 meg video card.

I think you shouldn't bother upgrading to Sempron 2800+
