2800mhz C14 Vs 3000mhz C16

Hello,

I've the option of two ram kits:

G.Skill 2800mhz C14
Cosair 3000mhz C16

So reading around it seems you calculate the total latency using:

(CAS/2000) * MHz

Both options come out with a total latency of 10ns. Does this mean that both the kits are roughly equivalent and I should just buy the cheaper kit?

Yes, that's usual result when you look at single step in RAM frequency. My Kingston 3000MHz running at Cl 12 gets same results as 3200 at Cl14.
