I have two EVGA 03G-P4-3784-KR GeForce GTX 780 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 in my system now a buddy of mine is buying a house so he is selling his computer I am thinking of picking up his 295X2 while I am not a huge (RED) fan it does have the water block and I was already thinking of adding water cooling to my system, he wants 1400 for the video card and his 1200I corsair PS I run dual QHD 2560x1440 monitors but I do NOT span or use Eyefinity I game on one and do something else on the other I will often run EVE on one monitor mining while playing d3 on the other screen

is it worth it

Solution
A simple way to explain it is this.
The 780 is almost identical to the 290 in performance, so the 290x is marginally better. You have two 780s, which would be equal to 290 Xfire, the 295x2 is 290X Xfire. So its not much performance, especially since you own the cards now.

the 1400 comes with the 1200W Corsair PS and I have been considering going to 4k monitors

The only reason I was even thinking of it is I was going to sell my 780 soon and get ones with the waterblock attached so i don't void a warente installing them

So go out and buy a new PSU, I personally couldn't see my self dropping $1400 to get at best 20% better fps. If you didn't already have the SLI 780s I would still point you to getting two 290x in crossfire and save a bunch of money.
